HISTORY

Originally built in the 1861, Grand Turk Inn exemplifies the stately British West Indian architectural style of the past. Initially known as the Methodist Mission House, it was established in the Turks & Caicos Islands as early as 1822 and served as the Methodist Manse for over a century. In 2005, Sandy Erb and Katrina Birt transformed the property into the Grand Turk Inn, an intimate bed and breakfast featuring elegantly appointed suites. After sustaining severe damage from Hurricane Irma and Maria in 2017, the Inn was forced to close. Under new ownership in 2025, Don Gardiner fully restored and reopened the Inn, incorporating modern architectural upgrades while carefully preserving its British Colonial charm.
